A significant development in the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, Recently, Hezbollah, a militant group from Lebanon, launched a lot of rockets into Israel. They did this in reaction to the death of one of their important leaders. So let’s understand the latest rocket attacks and how the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are responding.
Hezbollah launched rockets at northern Israel on Thursday as a reaction to an Israeli attack earlier in the week that killed one of their top leaders, Fuad Shukr. This rocket attack was the first by Hezbollah since Shukr was killed on Tuesday evening. Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, announced that they would continue their actions starting Friday morning.
Hezbollah’s rockets have caused a lot of damage and increased security warnings in northern Israel.
A few hours after Fuad Shukr was killed, there was a strike in Tehran that killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was an ally of Hezbollah.
And this attack has made the situation in the region even more tense.
Hezbollah’s rockets hit several places in northern Israel. This is part of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been going on for a long time and is very complicated.
Hezbollah, which gets support from Iran, said on Thursday that they fired many Katyusha rockets because of an Israeli attack on the southern village of Shama, which resulted in the deaths of several civilians.
After Hezbollah fired the rockets, the Israeli military’s air force quickly hit the rocket launcher. They said that only five of the rockets landed in Israel, and there were no reports of any damage or injuries.
Meanwhile in response to the attack, Israel also said that the Lebanese government is responsible for the Hezbollah attack.
On Thursday, Israel confirmed that Mohammed Deif, the leader of Hamas’ military wing, was killed in an airstrike in Gaza in July.

As things develop, countries around the world are keeping a close eye on the situation. There’s a big chance that things could get worse, which might affect not just Israel and Lebanon, but also the wider Middle East.
