Indian Coast Guard’s ALH Dhruv Helicopter crashes in Kochi, all persons onboard safe – Watch Video

An ALH Dhruv Mark 3 helicopter of the ICG crashed in Kerala’s Kochi on March 26. The mishap took place during a test flight by pilots of the maritime law enforcement force.

An ALH Dhruv Mark 3 helicopter of the ICG crashed in Kerala’s Kochi on March 26. The mishap took place during a test flight by pilots of the maritime law enforcement force. All persons onboard the helicopter were safe but the chopper sustained damage in its rotors and airframe. The chopper was at around 25 feet height when it had to make a forced landing. The fleet of ALH Dhruv choppers has been grounded since March 8 after a Navy chopper met with an accident off the coast of Mumbai. The helicopter was being tested so as to resume operations of the grounded Dhruvs of Indian Coast Guard
