The Israel-Hamas war is still ongoing, now into its 334th day as of September 4. Recently, six Israeli hostages were killed by Hamas in Gaza’s Rafah, sparking outrage in Israel. Protests against Prime Minister Netanyahu’s handling of the situation have intensified in Tel Aviv, with demonstrators clashing with police and demanding a ceasefire to secure the release of hostages. On September 1, around half a million people protested in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The conflict began with Hamas militants taking 253 hostages during an attack on October 7, which also resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and foreigners. In response, Israel’s military actions have heavily impacted Gaza, resulting in over 40,600 Palestinian deaths.
