The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday transferred the probe into the murder and rape of a trainee doctor in Kolkata to the CBI. A court panel led by Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam was reviewing a request from the trainee doctor’s parents. They wanted the court to oversee the investigation into their daughter’s case to ensure it was handled properly.
