Nitish Kumar in Bihar and Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh, along with their parties, the Janata Dal United (JDU) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) respectively, could play a key role in forming a new government.

Nitish Kumar has outsmarted his senior partner, the BJP. As of the latest reports, his party, the JD(U), was leading in 14 seats, one more than the BJP.

Now there are speculations that the coin can flip either way both the parties are trying hard to claim the right to form the govt in the centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have already called Chandrababu Naidu, likely to discuss the political situation of the National Democratic Alliance
