As heavy rain continues, Mumbai and Pune are getting hit hard by relentless downpours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a ‘red’ alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad for Thursday in its 1pm forecast, after incessant overnight rainfall in several parts of Maharashtra. As Maharashtra deals with the impact of ongoing heavy rains, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reviewed the situation on Tuesday.
