Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is resigning from his position after being in power for less than 20 months. On Friday (July 12), he lost the fifth vote of confidence in Parliament. Only 63 out of 275 members of the House of Representatives supported his motion to remain in office. A majority of 194 members opposed the motion, and one member chose not to vote. Therefore, Prachanda decided to step down as Prime Minister.
