On August 26, a brutal terror attack in Balochistan, Pakistan, killed at least 51 people and set 35 vehicles on fire. Separatist militants targeted buses, trucks, police stations, and railway lines. On the night of August 25, armed men blocked a highway, forced passengers out of their vehicles, and shot them after checking their ID cards.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the violence. This attack is similar to one in April, where 9 passengers were killed, and another in October 2023, where 6 laborers were shot.
