Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, got into big trouble recently. He is facing serious accusations related to the sex tapes circulating in the constituency. Additionally, an FIR has been filed against Prajwal and his father, Revanna, by their house help. She alleges that they sexually harassed her multiple times between 2019 and 2022.

In her complaint, the woman claimed that HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna used to sexually assault women workers in their homes. Infact Whenever Revanna’s wife wasn’t there, he used to call the women to the storeroom and touch them while giving them fruits. He used to remove saree pins and sexually assault women

Now based on the complaint, police have registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 354A sexual harassment, 354D stalking, 506 criminal intimidation and 509 outraging modesty of a woman. The FIR has been transferred to the SIT formed to probe the allegations against Prajwal Revanna.

As a result, the Janata Dal ( S) , which is in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka, will decide whather to suspend him from the party or not.

A there is lot of pressure from both the opposition and Prajwal Revanna’s own party members who demanded action against him.

JD (S) leader HD Kumaraswamy and even Prajwal Revanna’s uncle stated that the party might decide to suspend the Hassan candidate over sexual abuse allegations. Further they said that a final decision regarding the matter will be taken after a core committee meeting scheduled to be held on April 30.

Meanwhile, Prajwal’s father and JDS MLA HD Revanna stated that they are ready to face probe

Well this is not the first scandal that Prajwal is accussed of, earlier he was also accussed of filing an incorrect and false affidavit during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The Karnataka High Court even issued summons against him in the case in 2019.

Surprisingly, according yo Prajwal’s affidavit, in 2024 he owns assets worth ₹40 crore and does not own a car or any residential building.

His affidavit also revealed that he owns a pistol worth ₹1.04 lakh and rifle worth ₹2.68 lakh
