Zamir Kabulov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Second Asia Department, sent shockwaves among U.S and NATO members revealing that Moscow and Tehran are working on a new treaty.
One of the most boiled regions of the world are on the final version of a comprehensive new treaty, which they are close to signing.
The bilateral treaty is being prepared on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who agreed to develop it in January 2022 in order to achieve a long-term strategic partnership.
Meanwhile, cooperation between Moscow and Tehran has continued to grow in other fields in recent years, as both sides have actively supported each other on the international stage. Following this week’s Israeli attack on the Iranian diplomatic mission in Damascus, Russia called for an emergency UN Security Council meeting.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry criticized the airstrike that killed several Iranian diplomats and officers in Syria, including two generals. They called it “completely unacceptable” and urged Israel to stop all provocative military actions in Syria and nearby countries. Russia also warned that there could be serious consequences for the region if these actions continue.

Now giving a breif about Russia and Iran’s relationship then they have formed strategic partnerships in various areas, including energy, defense, and regional politics. They have collaborated closely on issues such as the Syrian civil war, where both countries support the Assad regime.
Economic ties between Iran and Russia have been growing, particularly in the energy sector. Russia has supported Iran’s nuclear energy program and has invested in Iranian infrastructure projects. However, economic sanctions on Iran have sometimes hindered deeper economic cooperation.
