On August 29, US Central Command (CENTCOM) and Iraqi Security Forces carried out a joint raid in western Iraq. The operation led to the death of 15 ISIS operatives. The group was heavily armed with weapons, grenades, and explosive belts. CENTCOM confirmed there were no signs of civilian casualties, but reported that seven American troops were injured during the operation.
