27 Congress Lok Sabha MPs suspended for disrupting the House

The Congress MPs were suspended for causing disruption in the Lok Sabha, PTI reported.

New Delhi, Aug. 3: At least 27 Congress Member of Parliaments (MP) were suspended on Monday by Lok Sabha Speaker Sushma Swaraj followed by the adjournment of the Lower House for the day. The Congress MPs were suspended for causing disruption in the Lok Sabha, PTI reported.

Speaker named several Congress MPs for bringing placards and causing disruptions. After several warnings, Sumitra Mahajan suspended for causing “grave disorder” for five days. Gaurav Gogoi, Deepender Singh Hooda, MK Raghavan, Venugopal are amongst many others who were suspended for disrupting the House proceedings for five consecutive working days. Another day of Monsoon Session was washed out following ruckus in both the houses of the Parliament. The Opposition led by Congress stood firm demanding resignation of Sushma Swaraj, Shivraj Singh Choauhan and Vasundhara Raje before discussion. On the other hand the Government blmaed Congress for the deadlock in the Parliament saying they are ready for the discussion. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned for the day.
