If Monday mornings are bad, this Tuesday morning was the worst. Not to mention the night. There was no action and however hard you tried going to bed early you begged for some action. Now before you allow imagination to run wild, hold it. This is called as the FIFA 2014 effect. The biggest sporting event got over late on Monday night or early morning if you wish and with the FIFA World Cup ended the night shifts which the crazy football fans were used to for over a month. The action here was what unfolded on the TV screens as crazy fans cheered and remembered all the cuss words learnt.
So what all changes did you notice on July 15 morning or shall we say missed the most about the last 32 days:
For the last few days we all had turned nocturnal (Not talking about the insomniacs). On a serious note, the day for a majority of the football fans began post lunch and ended early morning and we totally loved that! And now suddenly getting up and looking at sunrise freaks you. But do not worry, you will get used to it.
Search engine Google suddenly looks without any life. No more letters jumping around with team flags in their hands. No more animal oracle, vanishing spray, goal line technology, Mexican wave greets you when your system comes to life. Give this as an excuse to not feel like working. Not joking, I’m serious on this.
“Did you see Miroslav Klose make the world record? Luiz is down and out, man!” FIFA 2014 gave the conversation a new meaning and direction. The match analysis made the office/college come alive and it went on for hours and hours before you actually sat down to work. And today you directly went to your work station and started working! This is not a good and healthy symptom.
With Germany lifting the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy, it not only brought an end to the tournament but also marked the end to fierce fans battling out to prove their superiority. To witness the crazy fans support, need to wait for another four year. Sob L
Do not know about the people who caught up the live action at sports bar or at the massive Brazilian stadium but at home there was World War III going on over the remote. With mommies wanting to catch up with telly sagas and not understanding the importance of FUUTTBALLL World Cup, it was maddening to get control of remote. And now we guess, it was fun and we will miss it. The post mid-night matches ensured you cannot only have a cake but the entire bakery.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia. Four years is a very long time. Somebody Kill Me. I miss World Cup. I want it to come back Oh yes abhi.
