The trend takes on people who frown upon women who bleed. The trend started when a picture of a woman sleeping on bed with her pant bleeding went viral and was taken down by Facebook and other social networking sites. Since then women across the world have taken up this issue and plastered powerful messages on sanitary napkins and pasted across public places with the hashtag #HappyToBleed. More Power!

3) Semen Facial
Now this takes the cake for being the most bizarre beauty trend last year. The trend started by a British blogger opened to mixed reactions. Some willing to try some found it disgusting. Semen should be applied to face, leave it for 20 minutes and then washed with cold water and finally wiped with fragrant tissues. Eww, Maybe?

4) Boobs only for babies
This trend is a befitting reply to all those people who look down upon women who are breast feeding their babies in public and empowers women who feel shy and conscious of their breasts being seen. This trend urges women to breast feed their little ones freely and be brave. Liberating!

The next time you have downed too many drinks and are hungover from the experience don’t worry, the hangover makeup trend to the rescue. Started by young Japanese women, uploading pictures of themselves on social networking sites with puffed eyes and smudged mascara and eyeliner. Well….vodka on the rocks anyone?

6) Heart shaped bangs
Even though V-Day is nowhere in sight, you can try this adorable new beauty trend of heart shaped bangs. Started by young women in Seoul where you shape your bangs into heart shapes using curling iron and hairspray. Now isn’t this just cute!

Now this isn’t bizarre it is also atrocious. 8) Bright colored brows
This became a talking point on social media circuits after it was successfully done at fashion weeks with models sporting pastel colored eyebrows. From grey to pink to multi colored brows to glittery brows. This is always open for experimentation. Likes or Yikes!
