Acid attack victims go through a lot and almost always due to no mistake on their part. A boy and a girl can be just friends but there can also be feelings for each other. You have to choose whether you want to take the next step and get involved in a relationship or stay friends.
The idolization of a boy and terming a girl as ‘tension’ or paraya dhan is a horrendous way of thinking. There are nearly 1,500 people who fall prey to acid attacks each year all over the world. Men need to start thinking differently and treat women equally. The law of the land is for every human being irrespective of their gender. The execution may not be done fairly but the law doesn’t differentiate on the basis of the victim or the offender’s sex so who are you to decide that a person’s face cannot be what nature intended it to be?
It is highly dependent on upbringing by parents and the lessons we learn in school that shapes our lives. Parents may not directly tell you to throw acid on another girl’s face or condone rape for any reason but a treating a female sibling differently than a male sibling has a huge impact on how they think. All this may seem very preachy talk to an acid attack victim and just think about the horror then just try to imagine what another human being has been through.
