Afsha Jabeen, an Indian woman from Toli Chowki in Hyderabad, Telangana, was arrested for being a recruiter for the terrorist outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Reports say the Dubai-based Afsha Jabeen was extradited after the Hyderabad police found a link between her and an engineer named Salman Moinuddin, who was was allegedly leaving for Syria via Dubai to join the ISIS.
Identified as Afsha Jabeen aka Nicky Joseph, this woman stayed in Dubai with her husband Devendra Batra and three daughters. Afsha was allegedly recruiting youth for ISIS through an online network where she posed as a British citizen. She also used Jihadi literature for propaganda. Indian intelligence agencies were keeping a close watch on Afsha Jabeen, and who were informed by Salman Moinuddin about the presence of such a lady.
