After AAP’s Victory, Manoj Tiwari's 'Rinkiya Ke Papa' Trends on Google, Crosses 43 Million Views on YouTube

On February 11, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won Delhi Elections 2020 and retained power in Delhi with a brute majority, bagging 62 of the 70 Assembly seats. Soon after the result was declared, Kejriwal thanked the people of Delhi for reposing faith in his party and AAP members founded the perfect way to share its joy. In a post that has gone viral on social media, AAP workers and members can be seen dancing and singing to their version of ‘Rinkiya ke Papa’, taking a dig at Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari. The Bhojpuri song has been sung by Tiwari.

This marks the third time AAP comes into power in Delhi and the political party’s supporters have found the most creative way to celebrate. AAP followers who supported Arvind Kejriwal started searching for ‘Rinkiya ke Papa’ song and made it on top of Google Trends. The song has gathered over 43 million views on YouTube.

The video has gone viral and the Internet can’t have enough of him. Rinkiya Ke Papa is a popular name on the app Tiktok that has become a craze across the country. While sharing the video, one of the users wrote: “The best thing on the internet today”.

After the results were declared,  Manoj Tiwari congratulated Arvind Kejriwal on his party’s victory in the Assembly elections and thanked the voters of the national capital. He also said that his party will review why it failed to meet its own expectations in the polls, though its vote share has increased since 2015. “Thank you to all the voters of Delhi. Thank you to all the party workers for their hard work We respect the mandate of people. @ArvindKejriwal congratulations to you,” he posted on Twitter in Hindi.
