New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is known for her animated antics. During the protests against citizenship law, the CM came up with her catchy slogan CAA CAA Chi Chi, shaming the amendment to the Citizenship law. Now in the wake of a massive outbreak of coronavirus across the world, the CM showed her ministers how to sneeze. While her demonstration of sneezing is exactly what the experts have been advising, the video of her explaining it to the minister who also started giving a demo of sneezing evoked a few laughter and went viral on social media. “It’s very easy. Instead of sneezing in your hand, sneeze in your elbow like this. Once you bring your hand to sneeze in your elbow, both your nose and mouth are covered,” she said. Following her, ministers Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee too practised the ‘art’ of sneezing. Coronavirus is at the centre of a political uproar in West Bengal as BJP state president downplayed the global coronavirus scare, asserting that thousands of people at temples across India drink water with their hands and also consume ”prasad”, but “nothing happens” as they have the blessings of God.

“Mothers and sisters travelled a long distance after fasting to offer puja. This is our culture and we see it everywhere in India. This is the identity of our country and we are progressing like this,” he said, after taking part in a puja at Egra in Purba Medinipur district.

“The entire world is scared of the coronavirus and millions are staying at home. Those who have conquered the whole world reached the moon… they are scared of coming out of their homes,” Ghosh added.
