The coronavirus lockdown has taken a toll on many people and all they are wishing for it to get over soon so that they can get back to their normal life routine. However, there are few who are rather inspired by the words ‘Corona’ and ‘Lockdown’ that they decided to name their newly born baby ‘Lockdown’. Yes, you heard us right! A baby boy from Khukhundu village in Deoria district in Uttar radish was named ‘Lockdown’. Talking about the same, baby’s father Pawan said that since he was born during the lockdown and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enforced lockdown to save people from Coronavirus, they decided to name their child ‘Lockdown’. He was quoted as saying by news agency IANS, “He was born during lockdown. We appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to enforce lockdown and save the people from Corona pandemic. Pawan also mentioned that his son’s name would always remind people of national interest before self interest. He also stated that he and his family have been observing the lockdown and have urged his relatives to do the same until the lockdown is lifted.

Pawan said, “We have even postponed the celebrations and rituals for the newborn till the lockdown in force.”

Last week, a baby girl was born  on the day of Janata Curfew and she was ‘Corona’ by her uncle. Nitesh Tripathi, resident of Sohgaura village in Gorakhpur district said, “The virus is no doubt dangerous and it has killed so many people in the world, but it has also inculcated many good habits in us and brought the world closer. This baby will be the symbol of people’s unity to fight the evil.”
