On July 30, Yakub Memon, convict of 1993 Mumbai blasts was hanged to death in Nagpur Central Jail. Yakub Memon got a fair trail and exhausted every legal option available to him. Well known television journalist Rajdeep Sardesai who covered 1992-93 Mumbai riots and 1993 Mumbai blasts, shot some questions regarding the capital punishment and politics over terrorism. In this video, Sardesai quotes Shri Krishna Commission report that says that Mumbai blasts were the fallout of 1992-93 riots post Babri Mosque demolition. Going by this, man responsible for blasts has been hanged while one of the culprits of Mumbai riots got state funeral. “Are we looking at terror culprits on the basis of religion?” asks Sardesai.
