Being a popular figure, it takes some guts to turn into two of the most popular icons the country has seen — Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar — and pull off a conversation saying the most rude, innocuous things. Tanmay Bhatt, one of the founders of the popular stand-up group, All India Bakc**d (AIB), has been on a roll in recent times posting videos. Just a week ago, Tanmay, while driving a car talks ab0ut Feminism and why it is important to society. He had taken on people refraining from calling themselves Feminists there.
There is no message here. It certainly looks like a spur-of-the-moment the comedian had put together. Calling it ‘Civil War’, Lata and Sachin have a go at each other and there is plenty of dirt thrown at both of them through the video. Sachin here is incensed at Virat Kohli stealing his thunder and slamming one century after another. Sachin is initially upset that his almost insurmountable records are under serious threat. That is when the Master Blaster, smarting from all the venom thrown in his direction lands some cracking punches in the other direction.
Some of Lata’s songs are made fun of. She is called someone who “Looks like she was in water for an entire week”. Both of them have a huge fan following and the fanbases of the two are likely to have a go at Tanmay. To ward off these hyper-sensitive internet policemen, the comedian warned his followers who that the video was made in jest.
