Last week, the Bengali film fraternity witnessed the big fat wedding of Bengali actor Subhashree Ganguly and Bengali director-actor Raj Chakraborty. The couple dated for almost a year and a half and finally tied the knot in a traditional ceremony on May 11, at a heritage resort near Kolkata. Subhashree and Raj have already registered their marriage earlier in March. They took the Tollywood by surprise in March, with their secret ring ceremony among close friends that included Bengali actors such as Dev, Jeet, Nusrat Jahan, Srabanti Chatterjee, Priyanka Sarkar, Saayoni Ghosh, Anindita Bose, Saurav Das, filmmaker Birsa Dasgupta, producers Mahendra Soni, Shrikant Mohata and others.

The social media has been flooded with the pictures of the star couple post their traditional wedding. Subhashree and Raj’s friends, family members and fan clubs shared many sneak-peaks from their big day on Instagram. Even Raj Chakraborty shared the post-wedding pictures of Subhashree where she looks like a dream as a newly-married Bengali bride.

Recently, for the first time, Subhashree shared some pictures after her marriage and greeted everyone as ‘Mrs Raj Chakraborty’. The gorgeous actress captioned the post by saying, “Mrs raj Chakraborty here!!! @rajchoco”.

Subhashree as a traditional Bengali newly-wed looked drop-dead gorgeous without any makeup. She sported the traditional Bengali white and red border saree, accompanied by a red bindi and sindoor.

Subhashree Ganguly and Raj Chakraborty met on the sets of Bengali movie Abhimaan in 2016. The actress has acted in several superhit Bengali films such as Challenge, Paran Jai Jaliya Re, Romeo, Khokababu, with Bengali superstar Dev as the male lead. Many of Subhashree’s films were also helmed by her husband Raj Chakraborty.
