British Airways' New Safety Video Featuring Gordon Ramsay, Mr Bean & Thandie Newton is Hilarious

British Airways has released a video with safety instructions featuring some of the popular celebrities. The airlines partnered with Comic Relief where famous actors hilarious audition for a role demonstrating the safety procedures. While Oscar winners and Hollywood actors explain basics of life-jacket inflation, emergency exits, British comedian Asim Chaudhry who plays his role, Chabuddy G from the Bafta-winning BBC series ‘People Just Do Nothing’ ensure you have a hearty laugh. The video opens with Chiwetel Ejiofor saying that he has only acted in feature films and has not done a safety video before. Asim Chaudry, who appears as the safety video’s director replies saying, “Well this could be your big break, OK mate? So don’t mess it up”. Although he gives a great first take, Chaudry writes him off as being “a bit of a show-off”.

Each actor demonstrates or talks about an important safety measure that has to taken care during a flight. While Warwick Davis alongside McKellen explains how to use oxygen masks, Rob Brydon discusses how to inflate a life vest, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay explains how to stow a bag under the seat in front while Rowan Atkinson becomes Mr Bean for a moment searching for his loose change. The video has ensured that there is a little humor in the part played by each actor in the video. The humor seems to have been understood by social media users who have largely given ‘thumbs up’ to the video. The aim of the video is also to raise awareness about the charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief with a goal of raising 26 USD million by 2020. The video will air on British Airways services from September 1.
