Cannes 2019: Hina Khan Unveils The First Look of Her Debut Film Lines

At the Cannes, the film’s first poster was released at India Pavilion session where she talked about the film along with the team

Television actor Hina Khan, who took a step forward in her career by gracing Cannes Film Festival in gorgeous outfits, has finally revealed the first look of her debut film Lines. Set in Kashmir, during the times of Kargil war, the film revolves around the story of the lives of people staying close to the LOC. The movie’s first official look will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is directed by Hussain Khan and produced by Rahat Kazmi, Tariq Khan, and Zeba Sajid along with Jayant Jaiswal, Lines is a tragic love story. The film also features veteran actor Farida Jalal.

Taking to Instagram, Hina shared the first poster of the film. In the poster, Hina can be seen as a Muslin girl with LOC lines in front of her face. She captioned it as, “Emotions don’t change because of the borders in between, the life and plight of #Nazia is a simple portrayal of any girl who faces the magnitude of ordinary challenges in a not so ordinary story. #Lines is my debut in films. I hope you all love it as much as we loved it. This is the first look launched at @festivaldecannes and an official poster which depicts more than a poster can!

For the Cannes red carpet, she walked it in a sheer grey sparkling gown with a plunging neckline by Ziad Nakad. She accessorised her look with diamond studs.

Earlier, she made headlines after industry critic, Jitesh Pillai, put out a story on his Instagram handle which featured Hina’s debut on this year’s red carpet and ran it with a caption that read, “Cannes has suddenly become chandivali studios kya? (Has Cannes turned into Chandivali Studios?).”

Hina Khan also took to Twitter to give a befitting reply to the editor. She mentioned that she is proud of where she has come from and where she is going. Hina’s tweet read, “I was persistent, I m constant n I will b efficient again n again. Don’t know where I belong, don’t know if I have to, as d Place don’t define me! Because as always I will work my a** off n I will make my own PLACE. My promise, a proud outsider from my Chandiwali studios.” (sic)
