Now that the world is done with Halloween and Thanksgiving Day, everyone is waiting eagerly for Christmas. The day when the aroma of cakes and the joy of decorating the Christmas tree take over everyone irrespective of the religion they belong to is just around the corner. We still have time to do our shopping and gear up for the festivities but the White House in the United States of America has already started the preparations for Christmas with full gusto. Stephanie Grisham, the Press Secretary and Deputy Communications Director of Melania Trump shared a picture of the White House with its Christmas decorations recently and got royally trolled by the Twitterati because the decorations gave a very grim appearance and were not at all cheery or festive. The Twitter users said that the decorations haunt them for its grim appearance.
Stephanie Grisham, the Press Secretary and Deputy Communications Director of Melania Trump shared a picture of Christmas decorations at the White House and wrote, “The holidays are upon us!! Right now: flotus is seeing to every last detail here at the @WhiteHouse.” The pictures that were shared in the hope that it would spread some festive cheer amongst the people were faced with snarky tweets and grim realities. The Twitter users did not like the decorations and let the administration know in no uncertain terms. Sample a few tweets below. Ivanka Trump’s Green Dress at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit Was a Complete Disaster

The Twitter reactions:
Are Christmas decorations supposed to give you creeping anxiety and a feeling of lingering dread?

May as well. This whole administration gives me creeping anxiety and a feeling of lingering dread.

Same. It’s a theme with this fakakta “administration”.

Just think if you were in a marriage w/ trump….. (her own fault) but just think how your feelings of gloom & doom might seep out. There have been a few glimpses into their relationship caught on video. Slapping his hand away in a couple of them. I wonder what he said here ? pic.twitter.com/LnXL8fZpln

The White House is turning into The Haunted House. I’m guessing this is what it’s like upstairs in The Trump Residence… #MondayMotivaton #RavensFlock #HappyHolidays pic.twitter.com/0ikXz9Pibj

The image of the hallway, especially the shadow on ceiling, made me think of the Forest of Thorns & the evil queen from Sleeping Beauty.

There were a few who were comparing the supposedly festive decorations with the way the Obamas decorated the White House during their tenure and yes the photos are startling. Check them out below.

From the tweets, we can easily conclude that the public did not think much of the decorations of Donald and Melania Trump as they were busy comparing it to The Shining and Blair Witch Christmas. Christmas is a gay festival where rich and vibrant colours like red, green and white dominates. Looking at the decorations at the White House you would think they are having a very grim Christmas.
