Actress Nandita Das has lent support to the ‘Dark is Beautiful’ campaign, a cause that celebrates dark skin and spreads awareness about the issue of discrimination on the basis of skin colour.
The campaign was launched in 2009 by Women of Worth and it challenges the belief that the value and beauty of people is determined by the fairness of their skin.
Nandita talks about this obsession and how to not prey fall to this frivolous definition of false stereotyped beauty that is being created.
