Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus film Padmaavat has finally got a release date and is releasing worldwide on January 25, 2018. After several controversies, threats and bans the film is finally on the verge of release with a name change as requested by the Central Board of Film Certification and a disclaimer ad that disappointed many. However, the name that was changed from Padmavati to Padmaavat is not the only thing that has been changed. Apparently, a minor change has caught the eye of the ever-vigilant Twitterati who could not help notice that Deepika Padukone’s exposed midriff in the Ghoomar song is now covered, thanks to VFX. Naturally, Twitterati had a lot to say about the issue and was not impressed by this bizarre change which defies basic logic. The official video of the Ghoomar song has been modified and the change was noted by many on social media. In the latest video, the costume of Deepika Padukone has been edited and a computer-generated cloth now covers Deepika Padukone’s exposed midriff in the previous clip. The change is strange and defies logic and obviously, Twiterati was not happy with this maneuver and wondered whether we are living in an independent country or not. Padmaavat Row: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Movie Ban Gets a Stay by Supreme Court, Twitterati Applauds the Judgement Also Read - Prithviraj Starring Akshay Kumar Faces Backlash From Karni Sena, Warns 'Change Title Or Face Consequences'

Are we living in an independent country?

A mystery to be solved

Director’s cut should be available

The so-called culture is saved

The original video of the song Ghoomer which generated an immense number of views is still available on YouTube but the new video has confused many on social media who are questioning the logic behind such a change. Padmaavat has faced a lot of strife from Karni Sena which was dead against the release of the movie. Padmaavat stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
