Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, December 3, 2017, remembered India’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his 133rd birthday. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was born on December 3, 1884, in Siwan, Bihar. He was an Indian freedom fighter and was a lawyer by profession. He joined the Indian National Congress during the Indian Independence Movement and became one of the most prolific leaders from Bihar. Today on his birthday Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other leaders paid him tribute. He participated in grassroot level movement such as the non-cooperation movement and provided great leadership to the Constituent Assembly as its President. As the first President of India, his leadership and guidance was extremely valuable for our nation during the formative years.
