The Beauty and the Beast actor Emma Watson did something special for book lovers in Paris, she gave away books while in Italy. As Emma wandered through the French capital she hid copies of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale in mysterious locations around Paris. Working with a group called The Book of Fairies Emma hid books around the city hiding books which were immediately found by her fans. The group also took to Twitter and tweeted clues about where the books were hidden in Paris. Members of The Book Fairies regularly hides books around the world for people to find, read and then leave it for someone else. The Handmaid’s Tale recently saw a resurgence in after the critically acclaimed television adaptation of the dystopian story, starring Elisabeth Moss. Watson being an avid reader and women’s rights advocate seems to be the apt person to do this job.
