Director Krish Jagarlamudi, acclaimed for films like Vedam, Gabbar Is Back, and Manikarnika, recently got married for the second time. He tied the knot with Hyderabad-based Dr. Priti Challa in an intimate ceremony held in her hometown on November 11. According to reports, a grand wedding reception will be held on November 16. Later that day, the couple shared a video to announce their marriage, which was posted on Instagram by Dr. Challa’s team with the caption, “Today, we celebrate a beautiful new chapter in Dr. Priti Challa’s life. As she begins this journey of love and companionship, we wish her endless joy, laughter, and togetherness. May this union bring her as much happiness as she brings to her patients every day.”
Previously, the director was married to Ramya Velaga, with their separation finalized in 2018. While rumors about his second marriage had been circulating, the couple chose to confirm the news directly through their social media announcement.

Dr. Priti Challa, hailing from the esteemed Challa family in Guntur, comes from a long line of medical professionals, marking the fourth generation in her family to enter the field. She shares her roots with director Krish Jagarlamudi, who also comes from Guntur, and reports suggest that the two were family friends before their relationship evolved into marriage.
According to the Zoi Hospital website, Dr Priti Challa has been practising medicine since 2007. She earned her MBBS with distinction from Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai, where she also completed her MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Today, she leads Challa Hospital, continuing her family’s legacy. Inspired by her mother and grandmother, both devoted advocates for accessible, high-quality healthcare for women, Priti is dedicated to advancing this mission and making a positive impact on women’s health.
Director Krish Jagarlamudi, who was originally working on Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Pawan Kalyan, stepped away from the project, which has since been taken over by AM Rathnam’s son. Krish is now focusing on his new film, Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty in the lead role. The cast also includes prominent actors like Ramya Krishnan, Vikram Prabhu, Jagapathi Babu, and Chaitanya Rao. Ghaati marks a reunion between Anushka Shetty and Krish, who previously worked together on the critically acclaimed Vedam in 2010. While the release date for Ghaati is yet to be announced, it has already generated significant excitement among fans.
