Just like for every day of FIFA World Cup 2014, Google has come up with a doodle for Day 8 of the tournament. This particular doodle is quite simple; the screen looks pretty neat with only the word ‘Google’ on it, with ‘g’ performing a series of impressive skills with the yellow and green football.

The decision to go simple might have been taken after June 18’s Google Doodle, in which the favelas of Brazil were featured, landed Google in a controversy. The favela-themed doodle was termed as offensive and downright rude by many people. But just because it showcases the poverty and reality of Brazil, it does not mean it should be decried upon and slammed as offensive.

The Google Doodle is a creative output of art showing reality and it shouldn’t be judged with a sour note; simply enjoy the creative and fun doodles. Watch video below: FIFA World Cup 2014 Day 8 Google Doodle!
