Flipkart’s Online Marketing Sr. Director Mausam Bhatt said, “At Flipkart we are always looking for innovative ways of engaging the customer. Flipkart and Yahoo are both market leaders in their own space – and in a market where people are increasingly consuming content on digital platforms, a partnership like this helps bridge content and commerce to enhance the product discovery and purchase cycle for online shoppers.”
The Yahoo-Flipkart tie-up will add significantly to Flipkart’s already big customer base. Flipkart recently acquired a stake in Myntra.com, another successful Indian e-commerce website. The Flipkart-Yahoo partnership is also important to tackle the competition from Amazon India and Snapdeal.com. Let’s see how this new tie-up takes Flipkart forward in the e-commerce marketplace.
