If you thought Ranveer Singh‘s energy is contagious, wait till you hear the new song from Gully Boy, Mere Gully Mein and watch every street, nook and corner of the country light up in a frenzy, tapping to the beats of the high-spirited song, penned down by Divine and Naezy. A recreation of Divine and Naezy’s 2015 hit, the song comes as a fresh and much-needed boost to the start of the week, making it climb up the charts already.
One hour into the release and the song has already gathered close to 5 lakh views and is still going strong. The fans can’t stop pouring out their appreciation for Ranveer and Siddhant Chaturvedi who feature in the song and rap away like a pro duo. While some fans are appreciating it for maintaining so many elements from the original one, some others are lauding it for possessing Ranveer’s twist and the universal reaction is that the song can only be brought to justice when listened on full volume, on loop a couple of times.

Composed by Divine, Naezy and Sez, with Ranveer, Divine and Naezy crooning effortlessly to it, the lyrics too have been penned down by the talented duo – Divine and Naezy. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the 2.56 minutes of the song has become an unstoppable rage among fans. The movie is about an aspiring rapper from a ghetto in Bombay, and it was inspired by real-life hip hop artists, the struggles and work of Naezy and Divine, both of whom have been closely associated with the project.
