New Delhi: Hindus all over the world are celebrating Maha Shivratri today and on the auspicious occasion, several leaders extended greetings to the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that the blessings of Baba Bholenath bring happiness, peace, prosperity and good fortune in the lives of all countrymen. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu prayed that Lord Shiva blesses everyone in the country with peace, prosperity and good fortune

“On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, I wish the devout community around the world. On this occasion, when we illuminate our homes, we pray to Lord Shiva to bless us with wisdom and courage to overcome the flaws within,” Naidu said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said he wishes for Bholenath to ‘bless the whole’ world on this auspicious day.
