Aldewan, whom 83,000 people follow on Instagram, claimed that video was created at the request of her followers.

Many criticised her for belittling the tragedy and accused her of lacking sensitivity, in these testing times. People also remarked that a voice that can reach millions should not be treating the outbreak as a fashion statement.

One user wrote, “People are dying from this illness, show some respect and have some boundaries” while another said, “Even the coronavirus now has a makeup look. What kind of stupidity are you guys living in?”

A total of 164 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Iraq and 12 deaths have recorded, as of now.
