The much-awaited final season of fantasy drama Game of Thrones commenced this week. A lot of merchandise and companies are cashing on the GOT fever while others are offering GOT-inspired food. Now, even US President Donald Trump has joined the bandwagon by tweeting a GOT-inspired tweet. In the tweet, he declared himself victory in the battle with Special Robert Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation. His Tweet reads, “No Collusion. No Obstruction. For The Haters And The Radical Left Democrats. Game Over.” (sic) In the picture, Trump can be seen in his long black overcoat.

Now, HBO has hit back at the controversial leader and told varity.com, “Though we can understand the enthusiasm for ‘Game of Thrones’ now that the final season has arrived, we still prefer our intellectual property not be used for political purposes.” Not only this, but Trump has also pinned the tweet on his Twitter account.

Last November similar incident took place when Trump’s decision to play on the Game of Thrones catchphrase did not go well with the HBO. HBO said in a statement, “We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes.”

Chris Spadaccini, HBO’s Executive Vice President and head of marketing, said during Variety’s Entertainment Marketing Summit in March this year that they don’t want to pick a fight with the president.

He added, “I gave my social team a lot of credit because they had a very snarky little subtweet that said, ‘How do you say trademark infringement in Dothraki?”

Donald Trump’s tweet came after Attorney General William Barr said during a press conference that Mueller did not find any evidence of illegal collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia during Presidential election 2016.
