If there is one place in India that almost everyone wants to visit at least once, it is the Taj Mahal. And when you finally see it with your own eyes, you understand the reason. The Taj Mahal was built in the 1600s by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan as a symbol of his deep love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Many people describe it as a beautiful promise of “love that lasts forever.” This white marble monument stands on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra. Its look keeps changing with the sunlight, soft in the morning, bright during the day, and glowing in the evening.
A man who looks like singer Mika Singh has shared a surprising claim about the Taj Mahal on social media. In his video, he says that there is a hidden passage inside the Taj Mahal. According to him, during attacks in ancient times, kings and rulers used this secret route to escape safely to the Red Fort.
In the video, the man says, “It is clearly written here that people should not throw money, yet people still put money here. India has no shortage of money. This is the secret passage through which rulers escaped to the Red Fort to save their lives.” Because he looks a lot like Mika Singh, many viewers were reminded of the famous singer after watching the video.
The caption on the viral video says, “There is no shortage of money in India.”
Now let’s see what people are commenting on it.
One person wrote, “Is this Mika Singh?”
Another user said, “I really liked this video.”
A third person commented, “He is a very good guide.”
Many people think the man in the video is actually singer Mika Singh. But according to many comments, this person is Raja Gujjar, who is already famous on social media for his funny and entertaining videos.
He has more than 5 lakh followers on Instagram, and his videos often show his stylish lifestyle. His video from the Taj Mahal has already received over one lakh likes.
In reality, no one truly knows why people throw coins there. It’s most likely just herd behaviour — one person does it, and everyone else copies. It’s similar to how people toss coins into rivers from trains for “good luck.”
That small opening is actually the entrance to what historians and archaeologists call the subterranean chambers of the Taj Mahal. These chambers were built as part of the original structure, but they are kept locked and are not open to visitors. Only officials from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) open them once in a while, mostly to remove the huge pile of coins that collects inside.
Old records about the Taj mention that these chambers are made up of a series of underground rooms stretching nearly 120 yards, all connected by a long corridor that looks like a tunnel. They were likely constructed as part of the foundation system and may have helped support the structure. Their exact purpose is still a topic of interest for historians, researchers, and curious visitors even today.
