Jasprit Bumrah’s grandfather Santokh Singh Bumrah drives an auto and lives in a rented house to meet ends meet.

According to media reports, Santokh Singh Bumrah resides in Uddham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand and has been driving a tempo to sustain himself since he moved here from Ahmedabad. Santokh Singh Bumrah’s story is upsetting and pretty sad. According to media reports he had a big business set up and owned three factories, he had a flourishing business which he took care with his son Jasveer Singh Bumrah, Jasprit’s father. In 2001, Jasprit Bumrah’s father Jasveer died and that shattered Santokh Singh Bumrah. Santokh Singh Bumrah then moved to Uddham Singh Nagar in 2006. After selling his three factories, he bought four tempos and decided to embark on a new business. However, he suffered losses in this as well and had to sell off three tempos. The remaining left auto he drives himself to make ends meet and for his survival.
