William Shakespeare asked, “What’s in a name, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet” but apparently that is not true, a name is most important and moreover when one is mistaken for another. Yesterday Indians spent the day venting their anger on Snapchat’s CEO Evan Spiegel and the company. It all started when an ex-employee of Snapchat claimed that Evan Spiegel had called India and Spain “poor countries” when quizzed about business expansions in a meeting held in September 2015. Indians, in all their misplaced anger started punishing e-commerce website Snapdeal for it. They started uninstalling Snapdeal app and started abusing the company on social media. Why you would ask? Because they share the same first half of their name that is Snap, so apparently according to Indians there is no difference between Snapdeal and Snapchat. Even Indian Hackers took their revenge on Snapchat as they leaked data of over 1.7 million Snapchat uses. Snapchat user data leaked by Indian hackers! However, today the world has moved on and there are new mistake identities taking centre stage. Sonu Nigam the mellifluous singer created quite a riot on Twitter when he tweeted about being disturbed by the sound of ‘azaan’. The singer was upset because the sound of azaan makes him get up early and was seen blaming religion for being his alarm clock. Sonu Nigam in a series of tweets ranted against the loudspeakers and forced religiousness in India. He called it “gundagardi.” Now Twitter, the awesome place that it is soon came up with this hilarious tweet of mistaken identity and roped in Sonu Sood in the Sonu Nigam controversy. Sonu Sood, the actor was left flabbergasted and wondering what hit him. Sonu Nigam, Vivek Agnihotri tweet against religious ‘Gundagardi’ and ‘illegal’ blaring of Azaan, cook up a storm on Twitter

Sonu Nigam’s rant against the forced religiousness.

Vivek Agnihotri had also lent his support to Sonu Nigam’s grievances.

Sonu Sood was trolled on Twitter and people had a hearty laugh at his expense.

It was all in jest but then Sonu Sood was left wondering what hit him.

People tried their best to appease him and sent him sympathizing tweets.

We have only one advice for Sonu Sood, you’re a good guy, please have patience and bear with us Indians.
