The Taj Mahal, not a mausoleum but a Hindu temple? This controversial theory was put forth by P N Oak in his book Taj Mahal: The True Story. If you remember there had been a chain email a few years ago with pictures of the inside are and back end of the Taj Mahal. There are hidden rooms and restricted areas. While we don’t know if those photos are real, this video shows you all those pictures again and explains to you Oak’s point of view.
The Taj Mahal was apparently a temple of a Hindu god (Lord Shiva) named Tejo Mahalay. It existed way before the Taj Mahal was built. This video claims that Emperor Shah Jahan simply refurbished the Hindu temple, after taking it over from Raja Jai Singh. It also shows how certain Hindu symbols normally used in temples are engraved on the Taj Mahal and you just need to take a closer look to notice them.
Shah Jahan simply named the Taj Mahal as his wife Mumtaz’s tomb, when her tomb actually lies elsewhere, it claims. Historians who visited India during the time also make no mention of the Taj Mahal being built. Watch video to know more, if you’re curious.
