Jaipur viral video: A massive traffic jam was witnessed outside a five-star hotel in Rajasthan’s Jaipur city after a couple staying in one of road-facing rooms, reportedly forgot to draw the room curtains before engaging in an intimate act. A video shot by a passerby showing the couple engaged in an in intimate moment has gone viral on social media, sparking debate about privacy concerns, public indecency, and voyeurism.
While some users have criticized the couple for not being discrete and deliberately leaving the curtains open to create a scene, others have raised concerns over privacy, ack of respect of personal space, consent, and digital ethics in the Indian society. “They are doing it in a hotel and not on any highway. Those making such videos must face legal action,” wrote one user.
“They left the curtains open. Didn’t you see it? Why do hotels provide curtains? This is their own mistake, as they should have paid attention to the curtains,” another shot back, condemning the couple for leaving the curtains open.
“It is immoral to post such private moments of a couple, even if they were careless. They were doing this in a hotel room and not on the road. Imagine someone posting a video from your bedroom with your wife,” a third chimed in, defending the couple’s privacy, and calling for action against the person who shot the viral clip.
The incident reportedly took place at the Holiday Inn near 22 Godown in Jaipur, and the viral video also shows a huge crowd gathered outside the hotel, hurling abuses at the couple, whose faces are not visible in the clip. According to reports, the incident sparked a commotion outside the hotel as people gathered in droves after they realised that the couple were having an intimate moment.
A few users also called out the Holiday Inn hotel for not ensuring the privacy of their customers.
“A video of a couple’s private moments recorded from the street at Jaipur’s Holiday Inn hotel went viral, creating a stir. This is a violation of privacy, which may be illegal under Indian law (such as IPC Section 354C). Some believe that the couple should have been careful, but recording and sharing is unethical. The hotel’s responsibility is also in question, such as the arrangement of curtains. This incident highlights the challenges of privacy in the digital age,” one user commented.
Meanwhile, the person who illegally filmed the couple’s intimate moment and shared it on social media without consent, has not been identified.
