Kalank Film: Twitterati pour their love on the star cast of the multi-star film

Just after Karan Johar revealed the title and star cast of much-talked film ‘Kalank’, it has taken social media by storm. The film is conceptualized by Karan and his late father Yash Johar fifteen years ago. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the film has an enviable cast and has brought several past and present superstars all under one roof. The Dharma Productions film comprises of Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.

The announcement of the dream project was made by Karan Johar on his Twitter handle on Wednesday morning. He tweeted, “Proud & excited to announce our EPIC DRAMA #KALANK Releasing April 19th, 2019, Directed by Abhishek Varman, Starring @MadhuriDixit @sonakshisinha @aliaa08 @Varun_dvn #AdityaRoyKapur & @duttsanjay!”

Kalank is a drama film set against the partition and independence struggle in the 1940s. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman, who previously directed 2 States. After the announcement of the film on social media, people are gushing over the multi-star cast.

Kalank, previously known as Shiddat has been in talks for the longest time now. The film that had been put on the backburner has now revived itself with an incredible ensemble and director. We are super excited as Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit reunite after delivering several hits in the 80s and 90s. The film will also mark Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s fourth collaboration.
