On World Music Day, Kaldi Koechlin has come up with a new poem ‘Noise’. Kalki has once again collaborated with Blush for this one. The poem focuses on the various noises we hear on the daily basis which has become a part of us. From religious places’ blaring loudspeakers to the honking of vehicles on the streets we have grown pretty much accustomed to noise. While they pierce through our ears on a regular basis we believe it a part of our daily life. From the unmusical sound of chatter, gossips to the addiction to social media to how people hides behind its anonymity to virtually rip apart others, the poem touches upon a variety of issues.

With rhythm and rhymes in the perfect place, the 32-year-old  tries to tell people to have one’s own opinion and not follow the crowd. The poem tells how disturbance is different from real voice. Noise also talks about the hypocritical views of people that troll a celebrity online but click selfies with the person to show off on social media. While trying to have an opinion about everything we fail to hear our inner voices that had been screaming unto us all the while. The visuals of the video rightly try to decipher the poem and explain the difference between chaos and voice. Feminism is not isolating women: Kalki Koechlin

Kalki also shared a note about her new poem on Instagram. Her post read, “#Noise. Thank you so much for your musical genius Ankur Srivastava, for adding rhythm to random, thank you Akanksha Seda for masterminding and nitpicking and being so coolly intelligent, thank you Sumedh Natu, Siddarth Satyajit and Saiyam Wakchaure for capturing the brimming over city so perfectly, and not sleeping for a week! Thank you BlushChannel for being brave.” Kalki and Blush have come together for the second time after ‘The Printing Machine’ which had garnered a lot of reaction. The poem comes after singer Sonu Nigam had come under criticism in April for saying that the sound of azaan woke him up. The singer was ridiculed for his opinion by social media users. While he was trolled by a lot of them, many stood by his side.
