Kangana Ranaut is known in the industry for being a bold, brash and frank actress. Be it about her contemporaries or about the world of advertisements, Kangana has always called a spade a spade. And when she refused to do any fairness cream advertisements claiming it was insulting and she could never endorse such brands, she earned our respect. And right after making such claims and talking against fairness adverts, Kangana goes ahead and does this silly Boroplus advert.

No, this is a not a new fairness or lightening cream by Boroplus. It is not a lightening cream of any sorts. Why then are we so riled up over it? Because of the character Kangana portrays in the advert. She seemingly does an Alia Bhatt. No, not the cute variety but the dumb variety. While Alia Bhatt proved herself to be silly and dumb when it came to politics – not her field at all, Kangana acts silly and dumb about her chosen career – Bollywood! We do know it is unfair to compare Kangana to Alia in this scenario but then, she acts just so daft here that all her acting can’t save the advert. Like, know what we mean?

It all begins nicely enough. Kangana and Big B seated side by side, in one frame. The beginning excites us as it looks very promising. I mean, you cannot blame us for expecting magic after placing two of the most talented industry stars side by side. The advertisement begins with Kangana asking Amitabh Bachchan to enact a scene and say his dialogue from Shahenshah. Amitabh does it for her and then, she asks him to enact various other scenes. All by different actors. Well, Kangana being Kangana, we would expect her to know atleast the basics of the industry she’s working in. Seriously, what were you thinking while doing this Kangana?

Do you agree with us and think Kangana and Amitabh Bachchan seriously suck in this new Boroplus advertisement? Or do you like what they do? Let us know in comments below!
