Is there ever a dull, drab and monotonous moment in tinsel town? Never! Known to make films that are larger than life, Karan Johar has also attained the fame to host some of the lavish parties in town. Last December, Karan Johar hosted the black and metallic themed party for his buddy and ace designer Manish Malhotra as he turned 50. Following a spate of much milder parties, Karan Johar hosted the most amazing gala in honor of the maverick shoe designer, Christian Louboutin whose signature line of footwear with the red sole is much sought after and a must have in the celebrity wardrobe worldwide. With the who’s who of tinsel town invited for the bash, celebs that lit up the party included Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, Mira Rajput, Sonakshi Sinha, Dia Mirza, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sushant Singh Rajput, Anaita Shroff Adajania. But the couples who grabbed this party as the perfect opportunity to put to rest all the rumors surrounding their relationship status included Deepika Padukone – Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt – Sidharth Malhotra. Arriving together, these two couples caused a frenzy amongst the shutterbugs and the fans.
Maverick designer Christian Louboutin who has previously collaborated with maverick Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee is in India to check on his two stores in Mumbai and Delhi. Making a new friend in Karan Johar, who is fond of the designer’s range of shoes, Christian Louboutin attended a private dinner party hosted by Karan at his residence in the city. Unarguably the most amazing designer, Christian Louboutin is clearly treading the Indian grounds in the right direction- by mingling with the Bollywood stars. Quite rightly so, the glitterati of Bollywood put their most stylish foot forward, not missing a chance to hobnob with Christian Louboutin and create Instagram-worthy moments. The social media was flooded with these pictures from the party and here’s how the tinsel town turned up the heat at Karan Johar’s house last night.
Sharing a picture on Instagram, ace fashion stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania posed with Karan Johar and Christian Louboutin. While Christian Louboutin sported a printed white shirt, light olive green colored pants, and a blue jacket, Karan Johar stuck to black with stars on the collar and majorly pouting for the pictures.
The diva Deepika Padukone was in Bangalore for The World Health Day event and zoomed straight from the airport to Karan Johar’s house. Beau Ranveer Singh picked his ladylove at the airport and the duo looked adorable together.
Flaunting a Sabyasachi Mukherjee hand painted Anarkali from his Spring Couture 2017 Udaipur collection, Deepika Padukone, who was styled by Shaleena Nathani chose a pair of jhumkis and a bindi to round up her look. Beau Ranveer Singh looked uber-cool in a white shirt-denim and a half-updo.
Couple twinning seemed to be the theme of the party as Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra sported a common party color- olive green. While Sidharth Malhotra wore an olive green colored tee with a black blazer and denim, Alia’s satin white and green ensemble and hair styled in soft waves made us fall in love with her all over again.
Karan Johar’s BFF, Kareena Kapoor Khan made a fashionable entry flaunting a bareback in a black jumpsuit and heels and a small cross-body sling. Hubby Saif Ali Khan chose a casual avatar of a graphic CaptainAmerica tee and denim.
Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput arrived sans hubby wearing a cape blazer with regular denim and carrying a Saint Laurent color blocked quilted clutch.
The Kapoor daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor who is yet to make it big on celluloid but is already a rage in the world of millennial fashion wore chose matching separates of a white shirt and high-waist flared pants with a golden clutch and black pee-toes rounding up her look perfectly.
The sultry diva, Malaika Arora Khan turned up the heat in an upcycled Patola saree featuring am intricate metallic hand embroidery and jewelry by Isharya. She was styled by stylist Maneka Harisinghani. Meanwhile, sister Amrita Arora wore an off-shoulder checkered asymmetrical dress cinched at the waist with a printed multi-colored scarf.
The sisters shared a cute moment with Christian Louboutin and had a ball with their girl gang.
Hip, hot, happening and spunky to umpteen levels, this bash hosted by director and producer Karan Johar certainly spelled MAGIC in bold letters and Christian Louboutin is sure to have forged quite a few celeb friendships!
