KFC’s famous and catchy slogan which attracts each one of us to go and taste the food items are ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ and ‘Nobody does chicken like KFC’ is way too amazing. KFC has always lived up to people’s expectations, and since years it has been serving delicious food to them. Recently, the company has come up with a flawless advertisement which talks about ‘The Whole Chicken’. The advertisement is not going well with the people, and within no time the latest commercial has faced outrage from all across the globe.
According to a report published in The Independent, it is stated that ‘The Whole Chicken’ features sassy white hens who are walking around a warehouse to X Gon’ Give It To Ya by DMX. The ad aims that KFC products are 100 per cent chicken for their customers. During the launch of the advertisement, KFC Chief marketing officer Meg Farren said that “At KFC we’re proud of our chicken, we’re not afraid to show it. ‘The Whole Chicken’ represents a step change for us, taking a bolder stance when it comes to engaging with our loyal customers and fans.”
But unfortunately KFC’s latest commercial has backfired and sparked outrage among the masses. People have termed the advertisement as disgusting while some are not happy with their idea. On the other side, several people are confused with the latest advertisement and have claimed that KFC is using cute chicken which makes them feel for the innocent animal. Due to which they certainly not want to eat them. This latest advertisement is the first commercial of KFC after it switched advertising agency from BBH to Mother.
But Elisa Allen, PETA Director, told The Independent that, “Did KFC get the idea for its new ad from PETA’s ‘I’m Me, Not Meat’ chicken ad?” She further added saying, “It certainly looks as if we designed it, because it challenges anyone thinking of eating chickens to look these smart, sociable, sensitive, and beautiful birds in the eye and recognise that they’re individuals, not body parts to be battered as nuggets.”
Sorry but if the new KFC advert makes you wanna eat chicken ur a psychopath

I know it’s hypocritical but I hate the new #KFC advert reminding me it’s real chickens I’m eating.

The KFC advert is such a misfire IMO – showing a chicken doesn’t make me want to eat meat, it makes me want to do the exact opposite.

Not a vegetarian but I don’t eat much meat, I am APPALLED at that @kfc advert. It’s no light hearted joke that. Get it BANNED 😠😠😠

Dear @KFC_UKI your new advert is disgusting. Who on Earth thought that was a good idea?

I know I’m a big wet veggie but that KFC advert made me feel sad and uncomfortable.

Hermeti Balarin, executive creative director of Mother, added saying, “KFC chicken is of the highest quality. But somehow, despite previous attempts at communicating this message, people never really got it. So we created a campaign that is impossible to ignore.”
On the other side, some people appreciated and gave positive response to the KFC latest commercial. A KFC spokesperson told The Independent: “Our fans know that when they eat with us, it’s all about the chicken, the whole chicken and nothing but the chicken, so seeing one in our ad shouldn’t come as a surprise!” While the other person said, “We’re proud of our chicken, freshly prepared in our restaurants and sourced from Red Tractor Assured farms, and we’re not afraid to show it.” What do you guys have to say about the latest KFC ad?
