Love Beyond Borders: We have seen several Bollywood movies in which the hero falls in love with a Pakistani woman and crosses the border for her, fights with her father and returns home with her. This sounds very romantic but in real life this cannot happen. This is what we think. But what if we tell you that an Indian man crossed the border to meet his beloved? No, it’s not fictional. Badal Babu, who hailed from Aligarh, fell in love with a Pakistani woman named Sana. Their love story started from a Facebook chat. Badal decided to meet Sana, crossed all the limits and went to Pakistan to meet her without a visa and passport. What happened next, let’s know.
Badal somehow succeeded in crossing the border and entered Pakistan. He met Sana Rani and went to her home. However, Sana’s mother, after knowing that Babu entered Pakistan illegally, refused to keep him in the house and requested him to return back to India. Blind in love, Badal decided to stay in Pakistan. On September 27 last year, he was arrested by police in Pakistan’s Mandi Bahauddin area. Since then, he has been in jail. But now the court has released him from prison.
It all started in 2023 when Badal, who hails from the Khatikpur area in Aligarh, fell in love with a Pakistani girl named Sana. They met on Facebook and started chatting online. Soon the friendly chat turned into love. Badal, who didn’t have a passport or visa, decided to meet Sana and crossed the international border on September 24, 2024.
Even after Sana’s mother refusal, he stayed in the country. On September 27, 2024, Sadar police arrested him and presented him in front of the Pakistani court. He was jailed for crossing the border illegally. A case was registered against him and the Indian man was also questioned by Pakistani investigative agencies on suspicion of espionage.
Badal has now been released after completing his sentence. On Friday, his father Kripal Singh received a call from Pakistani authorities who told him that his son had been released and would return to India soon.
Badal is currently being held in a detention centre. All formalities have been completed.
This is very big news for Badal’s family, who had given up hope on his return.
Interestingly, Badal had even converted to Islam for Sana Rani, who hails from Mandi Bahauddin district in Pak’s Punjab province.
Badal wrote a letter from jail, which went viral on the internet. In the letter, he had written that he wanted to marry Sana, mentioning that he would never return to India.
