Popular Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran on Saturday took to Facebook about the recent abduction and molestation of Malayalam actress and her revival in the film industry in a hard-hitting post. The South Indian actor not only praised the actress for her courage to deal with the situation but also pledged not to be a part of films that celebrate misogyny. As per reports, the actress is back to shooting for her upcoming flick with Prithviraj in a movie named Adam. Prithvi accepted the fact that he has been part of moves that disrespected women in the past but vowed never to support any such thing. Apologising for his earlier acts, he said, “And to those voices I apologise..for at an age and time when I wasn’t wise enough..I have been part of films that celebrated misogyny..I have mouthed lines that vilified regard for your self-respect and I have taken a bow to the claps that ensued. Astonished with the actress’ courage who is trying to bring her normal life back, Prithvi requested everyone to appreciate her bold move. His post read, “Once again..ladies and gentlemen..stand up and applaud for her! Behind the gutsy spunk, there is a vulnerable celebrity who knew well enough what this decision of hers would mean to a life under constant scrutiny. The actress was molested and photographed by miscreants in a moving car for two hours near Kochi. She was abducted on her way from Thrissur to Kochi. Following the incident, a shocked film industry took to social media against the cowardly act demanding immediate punishment to the accused. Kerala police on nabbed three accused in the case. The actress has acted in South Indian movies including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. The post which has now gone viral on the social media has over 29,000 likes and 6,900 shares. Earlier, Bollywood actors including Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar among many others had tweeted support to the actress.
