Maruti Suzuki Alto has been again declared as the world's bestselling car again

Maruti Suzuki Alto has been again declared as the world’s bestselling car again. Since the past nine years Maruti has been emerging as the top selling car and in 2014 too Maruti has maintained its position. Maruti Suzuki has been the pioneer of India in automobiles. Maruti has been known for making car travelling easier for Indians.

The Alto hatchback has let behind the Volkswagen Golf, Toyota Aqua, Honda Fit and Daihatsu Tanto. They sold 264,544 cars in India in 2014. While Volkswagen Golf came second followed by Daihatsu Tanto, Toyota Aqua, Honda Fit, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Fiat Palio, Volkswagen GoL, Honda N-BOX and Suzuki Wagon R.

Alto had done extremely well in the year 2011 with the sales going over 300,000 units. However, this year the number is just 264,544 which is 0.46 percent less than the previous year. Maruti as a car brand is well known in India. With the cars being affordable and user friendly the car automatically got into the minds of Indians.
