Aditi Arya Kotak, a former Miss World India 2015, made her mark as an actress, model, and research analyst, but her career took a different turn after she quit acting. The 31-year-old beauty pageant titleholder represented India at Miss World 2015 in China and later ventured into films. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film ‘Ism’ and appeared in a few Hindi web series before making her Bollywood debut in 83, the sports drama based on India’s 1983 World Cup victory. However, after ‘83′, Aditi left the film industry and moved to the US in 2021 to pursue an MBA at Yale University.
In addition to her achievements in the entertainment world, Aditi is also a co-founder of Alum-n-i, an MIT-incubated startup that builds a community and service platform for students studying abroad. Despite her early success in films, she chose to shift her focus towards entrepreneurship and education, adding to her diverse career path.
Aditi Arya started with her education at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School and later at Amity International School in Gurgaon. She went on to earn a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.
Before entering the world of beauty pageants, Aditi worked as a research analyst for Ernst & Young (EY) Global Consulting Services for 1.5 years, a role she left to participate in and ultimately win the Femina Miss India World 2015 crown. Her professional experience also includes internships at prestigious companies such as Adidas, Unilever, Deloitte, and L.E.K. Consulting.
Aditi Arya is married to Jai Kotak, son of Uday Kotak, one of India’s wealthiest men. Uday Kotak, a leading banker, was listed by Forbes in 2023 as the 14th richest person in India, with a net worth of USD 13.4 billion (approximately Rs. 1,11,600 crore).
According to MoneyControl, Jay Kotak and Aditya Arya got married on November 7, 2023, at the Jio Convention Centre, owned by India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani. The Reliance Chairman and Managing Director and his wife Nita Ambani were among the esteemed wedding guests, according to Financial Express. Other wedding functions were hosted in Udaipur. According to MoneyControl, the couple had got engaged in August 2022.
